I hired in 1998. The test was administered several months before notification for an actual interview. They showed a video of manual labor. Half the room left. Then they disclosed that a drug test was required (only drug test I ever had there) and half the remaining candidates left. Then they mentioned that there would be an FBI background check and that those who had NOT disclosed something were welcome to leave. Fewer people were left than openings available.
