This was a four stage interview process, with a recruiter to gauge initial interest and fit for a position, the immediate reporting manager performing a substantive work background interview, a peer interview gauged technical aptitude and the fourth interview was with a regional/vertical manager that felt compulsory.
All four interviews were chronological/ work experienced based and largely what you would expect of the position. The peer review was the most interesting and Ultimate did a terrific job of selecting someone who was both technically oriented and enthusiastic about the future of the company to do the peer review.
After the fourth interview, all contact from the company ceased, and follow up inquiries to the recruiter and the manager who performed the first two interviews were not met with any additional response. It was as if all four interviewers disappeared from the face of the earth, which was unfortunate. I was not even afforded the courtesy of a rejection e-mail at the rather abrupt conclusion to this process.
