Round 1: Recruiter screen - provided a base salary range that was a bit below my low base end, told there was a flexible ceiling
Round 2: Hiring Manager Interview
Round 3: Different Recruiter, "Talent Partner" confirmed base range the day before the loop
Round 4-7: Loop - 4 45-minute Culture fit interviews, expected a high level of knowledge and example on their extensive company "values"
Offer extended a week after final interview, after no response to follow-up emails.
Interview process took 8 weeks from start to offer
Offer was at the low end of the base range they provided, once I indicated I needed to be at or above the high end of their base range. "Talent Partner" told me that was communicating Total compensation range at all times, not base salary. I was very clear it was not the case, I made sure we were referring to base salary. I never would have wasted 7 hours in interviews and much more time preparing, if I had any clue the offer would be so far below market value and my 12+ years of experience
