I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Travelers in Dec 2011
Interview
I gave a resume at a career fair, and was followed up with by email. I think I got the email more than a month after the career fair, and I was asked if there was a time I could set up a phone interview. I agreed and received a call exactly at that time. This was not a position I was very interested in. The interviewer asked many standard questions, a couple asking for specific examples. At the end of the interview I asked a couple questions, and then I asked if their was any room for horizontal movement from this position within Travelers, because I was not particularly interested in underwriting (I didn't say that though). The interviewer responded that they were really looking for people who want to do underwriting because of the long training process. I thanked her for her time and we ended the call. I received an email a week or so later that they were moving forward with other candidates. (Not surprisingly)

Question 1
What made you interested in working for Travelers?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Hartford, CT) in May 2025
Interview
Two rounds, one with multiple interviewers (second round). Felt like a conversation as it was somewhat relaxed. Mix between getting to know the company and my background along with technical questions

Question 1
They asked how I operate personally as an underwriter along with my organization style
Good interview questions but slow turnaround time. The questions were framed more as a conversation and the interviewer gave a good overview of the role without doing a deep dive.
