I applied online. I interviewed at Toyota North America in Feb 2023
Interview
After a recruiter reach out, I was sent an online timed coding assessment and online questions to record myself answering. Afterwards, I received an invite to a video conference interview with a hiring manager and two engineers from a different team. The hiring manager missed the interview and the two engineers seemed unsure of what to do but they interviewed me anyway.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about OOP, a simple system design question, and a few other things I don't remember now. It felt like they were grasping for questions to ask since they seemed unprepared.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Toyota North America (Plano, TX) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process consisted of an HR round followed by one or two technical rounds. The technical discussion focused on my past project experience, especially around Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and API Gateway. I was also asked about OOP concepts and how I applied them in real-world scenarios.
The interviewer was interactive and asked follow-up questions to understand my approach rather than just theoretical answers. Overall, the process was organized and focused more on practical knowledge.

Interview
it was lame and boring. i also really hate how depressing the work is. its like they dont seem to understand that people dont like being yelled at or being demeaned at work and yet they always want the 110% out of you
