I interviewed at Tony Blair Institute for Global Change
Interview
I did three round of interviews: 1) HR, 2) Substance, 3) with the Country Director.
HR only confirms your profile and experience.
The second round is the hardest, because you need to develop a consulting-style deck on top Presidential priority issues and you only have 2 hours to prep on the spot. You need to understand machinery of government and understand HOW you are going to delivery your recommendation. The interviewer will not stop at WHAT are your recommendations but navigating the civil servants and informal networks among them.
The Country Director is also fairly similar to the second round, only to confirm your political acumen.

Question 1
If you are going to be embedded in the government to deliver your recommendation, who is the most strategic counterpart? why?
I interviewed at Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (Riyadh)
Interview
You have to jump through multiple hoops to get a first round interview, they want busy professionals to take time out of their day to do two case studies and two screening interviews before doing your first round interview. Very disrespectful, I advise a lot of government clients and I will make sure they don't hire this firm in the future.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (London, England) in Nov 2022
Interview
It was quite straightforward. Went well. Good interviewers. They made it smooth and straightforward. Personal but professional. Overall, had a lovely time at the institute. Everyone was very welcoming. I also had my interview just post covid so everything was virtual.
