      Seasonal Sales Professional Interview

      16 Sept 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Brisbane
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tiffany & Co. (Brisbane)

      Interview

I applied online, and as part of the application process had to complete a pre-hire assessment assessment which took about an hour. A lot of the questions are similar, and it is probably important to stay consistent with your answers. I have previous experience in jewellery, so I knew the kinds of answers they were looking for which helped me a lot. Not long after that I was invited to attend a group interview at the Hilton, where there was about 20-ish other people. Everyone was dressed in business attire. There was three people present: someone from HR, the store manager, and the assistant store manager. They said that over 450 people applied, that they were interviewing about 50 of them, and that only 10 would get hired. The first thing we did was watch a video about the company. After that they asked us to get to know the person next to us and then introduce them to the room. Some of the topics that we were to include are: their name, why they want to work at Tiffany & Co, an interesting fact, and hobbies. After that we were to take turns being a customer and a sales professional (in the same pairs). They will give you a card with a scenario on it and you needed to act it out. They gave us three pieces of jewellery to sell. I didn't feel that I did this to the best of my ability - which is frustrating because I know what I needed to do!! As a result of this, I actually left feeling that I wouldn't get the job.. so I was very surprised/delighted that I did! After this we had a discussion with our table (everyone was split into three tables) and one of the Tiffany staff members went to each table to observe. We needed to speak about "what makes great customer service". I tried to speak up without being too much - you need to let other people talk too. I don't know how but myself and another girl at the table ended up speaking to the Tiffany's staff member about good places to get chinese food towards the end of the conversation.. They then wrapped up and said that they would let us know if we were successful or not within the week. If you were successful then they would send you an email asking you to complete a background check. My background check took about five days to clear (including the weekend). After it cleared, I received a call from the store manager congratulating me on the position and saying that they were going to mail me my contract and start me up soon after! Looking forward to it :)

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The most difficult part of the interview would have been the sales role-play. Prepare for this!!

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Tiffany & Co. (Pasadena, CA) in Sept 2023

      Interview

The interview process was based on applications submitted through their company website. I was emailed about a week after and scheduled to complete my 1st interview the following week. About 2 weeks after the interview, I was scheduled to return for a 2nd interview. It has been well over a week since the 2nd interview and I have yet to have heard back. No followup thereafter. Extremely unprofessional and unorganized. Not something you’d expect from LVMH.

      Interview

Fun interview meeting new people. Since it is a customer facing role, there were a lot of situational questions. They want to gauge how you will work with customers and upsell items.
