I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Boston, MA) in Sept 2015
Interview
The first interview was on-campus and was very informal. It focused on the interviewer talking about the position and Thermo-Fisher to make sure I would be a good match for both the position and the company. The second interview would take place at an actual Thermo-Fisher Plant. I didn't make it to the 2nd round because I didn't have the geographic flexibility required for the position. They did not contact me about being turned down for the position and I was unable to view the status of my candidacy even though I received a candidate number.
I was introduced to the company during a campus career fair and was offered an interview two days later. They stressed the fit with the company’s culture and a willingness to develop.
The interviews were straightforward. There were multiple interviews with leadership and individuals supporting the program. Behavioral interview questions using STAR format for answers. Be sure to have examples ready from experiences to include. Had to have multiple examples for each question
