I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (East Haven, CT)
Interview
It was a relaxed atmosphere aimed at putting both the interviewer and the candidate at ease. It begins with a warm welcome and introduction, setting a friendly tone for the conversation. Questions are straightforward and relevant to the role, allowing the candidate to showcase their skills and experience comfortably. The interviewer actively listens to the candidate's responses and may ask follow-up questions to clarify any points. Throughout the interview, the focus is on creating a positive experience for the candidate, with ample opportunity for them to ask questions and learn more about the role and the company. The process concludes with a gracious thank-you and an outline of the next steps, ensuring that the candidate feels informed and valued. Overall, an easy interview process aims to gather the necessary information while providing a stress-free and enjoyable experience for all involved.
It was quick and efficient. The interview was conducted online over video call. There were multiple rounds of interviews. I talked with two different people who were in charge of hiring.
Group interview zoom call. Various ping pong style questions. Pretty straight forward asked about how you would fit and what made you stand out. The call was about 15-20 minutes.
Met up with manager in office, got asked a few standard questions, before getting shown around the place. Very standard and simple for any teen looking for a part time job
