I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Boston, MA) in Feb 2011
Interview
1-on-1 interview with a supervisor after I had submitted an application a few weeks before. Was asked to come in for sit-down interview. Very informal, questions mainly about problem solving ability, interpersonal skills, leadership, and working with kids. Conversation-style, very few questions that required original answers or thinking on your feet. Mostly speaking from experience and describing things you've done in the past that would help in a new position.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you helped resolve a conflict between two other people?
It was quick and efficient. The interview was conducted online over video call. There were multiple rounds of interviews. I talked with two different people who were in charge of hiring.
Group interview zoom call. Various ping pong style questions. Pretty straight forward asked about how you would fit and what made you stand out. The call was about 15-20 minutes.
Met up with manager in office, got asked a few standard questions, before getting shown around the place. Very standard and simple for any teen looking for a part time job
