I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) in May 2013
Interview
Pretty easy, the manager seemed very desperate for help and was very grateful that I was available. I just didn't like how sporadic the schedule was since I had another job. I learned a lot, it was my first time actually taking care of multiple children. however, would have loved to have more training on how to handle children with behavioral issues.
Group interview with other canidates and panelists. Mostly get to know you style and situtational tasks. You will be interviewing alongside other canidadtes so make sure you stand out and seem unique. Howeer don;t overdo it and remain humble and willing to learn.
Fairly relaxed, standard questions related to your interest and experience with early childhood education. They didn't really go over my resume- many workers were in high school, so their expectations likely weren't high.
