The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Peabody Memphis (Memphis, TN)
Interview
If they like your resume you will get a call getting screened over the phone. As long as you talk eloquently and express interest in a job you should be asked to come in for an interview with an HR rep.
By the way dress properly for an interview (intent ... like seriously I should even have to say this, but
-HR REPRESENTATIVE INTERVIEW (1 person usually from HR)
I talked to Miss Karen (she's awesome). She will give you a lot of advice based on your personality assessment. If you've applied for multiple positions, like I did, she will probably ask you what position you want and she will recommend where she thinks you should be. Either way, at least in my case, she will send you to interview with the department head of whichever job you wanted. (Remember getting past this point is contingent on you being a viable candidate for the position(s). My advice: Be honest with the HR rep, try to highlight your experience and reasons you think you'd do well working for the Peabody brand, and listen closely to the advice the HR rep gives you. Miss Karen talked to me like I had already gotten offered the position. She gave me a lot of advice pertaining to the jobs I was applying for and what to expect day to day. Also make sure to talk proper English, I'm not saying you need to have the vernacular of a book author, but just well enough. If you can't do this I'm not sure the Peabody Hotel is the right place for you.)
-INTERVIEW WITH DEPARTMENT HEAD
This interview is with the person you will probably see on a daily basis if you're offered a position. THIS IS THE MOMENT OF TRUTH. Highlight your experience, let he/she know everything you want them to know about you, and those rehearsed bits you have been working on in your head find a way to get them in there! If you do well in this part and impress the department manager, you'll most likely get a job. Don't mess this up, no pressure ( you got this).
-PANEL INTERVIEW (ALL MANAGERS AND GM)Just do what you've been doing. $$$$$
The General Manager asked me to tell a funny story after our panel interview. I was caught so off guard by this. and it was probably the worst answer I had given throughout the process.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at The Peabody Memphis (Memphis, TN) in Oct 2016
Interview
First there was a prescreen phone interview. Then an in person interview with the department manager followed by an interview with HR. If you get through that there's a big panel interview with all the department heads and the GM. Pretty intimidating but it's not so bad and the GM's dog is sweet.
