I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Friedkin Group (Houston, TX) in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview process involved multiple screening calls and video interviews, with long wait times in between each. Your resume gets you the interview and the interview mainly consists of clarifying questions on background/experience. Each interview will last around 30-45 minutes, and is typically 1 on 1. If you make it to final stages, they will send you personality and IQ tests.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at The Friedkin Group (Houston, TX) in Feb 2025
Interview
Third party recruiter reached out on LinkedIn was trying to fill the position.
First round was hiring manager interview which was focused on resume and cultural fit.
Final round was in person back to back interviews with hiring manager, two directors and CTO.
Final round focuses on white boarding, resume based past experiences.
Interview with CTO was weird as he asked if was married and had kids. I have never been asked that question before in 8 years of interview experience.
I have been an interviewee myself and there are guidelines on the extent of personal questions you can ask during interviews so it definitely seemed weird.
They did not extend offer and decided to keep me in loop for other roles but later ghosted me. They ended up hiring experienced candidate with double my experience which makes me wonder why they even called me in for an in person interview.
Interview process was two stages meeting with two members of the team as they ask you a few questions that relate to your skills and who you are as a professional.
