I applied online. I was skeptical since I had seen mixed reviews about bad management, but I didn't want to believe it.
I was contacted and told I had the right qualifications for the ESL teaching position. I was contacted by the company and asked to pick three interview times and told the interview would be over Zoom. The got back to me after the weekend and we were all set for a week later. I was in the process of preparing for the interview and had no contact with this company in the meantime. Then, the company contacted me two days later telling me they'd decided not to hire me.
In my opinion, their actions were unprofessional. If they didn't want a candidate like me, whatever it was they found objectionable (obviously they found something they disliked...god know what...) why did they accept me for the interview to begin with?
