I was contacted and had an introductory call with Terminal.io for Software Engineering positions in Toronto.
They were very focused on my immigration status, and wanted to know all the details of my current work permit. I had told them that I had applied for Permanent Residency, and that you can then apply for bridging visas while you wait for the PR card, but they weren't interested. They said that they would not consider me for any roles until I was a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada. I was not a person that required any kind of sponsorship, and I am a very standard ideal immigrant to Canada. Their approach and attitudes are somewhat discriminatory. Some companies use companies like Terminal.io to ask questions that might get them in trouble in Canada.
Everything else about the interview process was normal, but the above probing questions were kind of invasive, and I find myself a month or so later still wanting to write a review like this.
