Difficult interview
Application
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Teradata
Interview
Standard interview process. Difficult to moderate difficult. Architecture related. Multiple rounds. Virtual interviews. Started with Recruiter interview. System Design interview. Behavioral as well. Over all good interview process. Positive interviewing experience.
Phone interview with Hiring Manager followed by another Software Architect in the team. The interview itself was based on what was in my resume. The role for which I was being interviewed sounded very similar to a Principal Engineer role rather than a Software Architect role. What was most surprising to me was that the Software Architects did not interact or very rarely interacted with actual clients / customers using the products. I was told that they have "Project Managers" who interact with customers and bring in requirements.
