I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Overland Park, KS)
Interview
As everyone says, it's a long series of scenario questions in a two-part interview process. I received the phone call for the interview where they asked me when I was available for the interview, whether or not $9/hr would be acceptable, and why I want to work at Target. I blurted out a stupid answer to the last question because I was not prepared- something like "I love Target. It's a wonderful company and the employees are always extremely helpful and friendly". The interviewers were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable sharing tidbits of my life with them. After I finished my second interviewer, I met with the HR rep who offered me the position and even gave me a bonus ($10.50/hr) because I'm "college-educated and awesome". I dressed in black slacks and pointy black flats that I bought from Target along with a nice green blouse from Loft. I also prepared for my interview using the reviews on this site and it really helped me get the job! Make sure your answers are thought-out stories (mostly from your previous jobs or college if you lack experience) that exemplify your positive attributes. They write all of your answers down in a packet and presumably talk to the next interviewer about you while you wait to be seen again.
The interview were very straightforward and the atmosphere was relaxed. I spoke with a shift lead and then the HR manager. The questions were typical and there was some discussions.
It was very quick and I was hired on immediately. I was a college student going to TAMU Galveston at the time. The team was pretty easy going but just not there to help me grow as an individual.

Question 1
How to handle certain situations that would happen in the real world revolving around a customer.
This was a few years ago, but I just went in and spoke with the manager in their office. Very casual and quick interview. Only 1 interview was required which was nice!
