Phone screen with an independent agent. None of the questions asked why I wanted to work for the specific agency or State Farm. Interviewer was straight-forward and to the point. Any equivocation would be met with dead silence (likely to prompt further answers). Pre-interview assessments consisted of a verbal/quantitative test and a "sales and leadership" test. The latter consisted of questions that asked the test taker to rate their agreement (on a five-point Likert scale) with statements that often overlapped with those found on psych. evaluations for anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders. Few questions on the "sales and leadership" test asked about how the test taker deals with sales or leadership scenarios.
