I saw an ad for a position they were looking for a secretary, but based on the job description it was apparent the position was more technical and admin assistant than secretarial. I went to the website and filled out the application. Within a few days, a recruiter called and said if I was still interested to take the tests--one was policies/ procedures (very easy), and skills (very basic spelling/math). If you pass, another recruiter is to call you within 24 hours. It took about three days and I received an email telling me I passed, and I would be gettting a call for a phone interview. It took about ten days before a very nice recruiter called and we talked for about 30 minutes about my resume, education, experience, if I met the minimum requirements for the job, and at the end he said he'd be passing me along to the local agency for face-to-face. He was very nice and told me what to work on (know mission statement, community involvement, 5 year goals, etc). I had my face-to-face a few days later. I met with three people, but it was very laid back. They had been interviewing a lot, and basically just asked me about myself and asked me eight basic "what if" or "tell us about a time"questions. I then asked a few questions. Interviews aren't over, but following this they will choose a candidate and background checks take about two weeks. It was a pleasant experience, and I enjoyed the interview process.
