I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Seattle, WA) in May 2023
Interview
Expect LC easy-medium questions in all rounds of interviews. Felt interviews were very formal. Expect interviewers to dive into interview questions right away. 1. Phone call with recruiter 2. Meeting with hiring manager 3. Onsite round of interviews You are expected to know (7 on a scale of 10 at least) the tech stack the team uses. They don't assess your learning ability. They just want to get the besssst fit for the job. Like, someone who could knows all the tools and languages that are used by the team. One of the onsite interviews was to meet with a manager who explains about the role and the team. This was already done in the previous round with the hiring manager. So, it was an unnecessary round in the onsite round. Expect 5-6 hours of interviews back to back. Keep a gallon of water by your side and expect sore throat towards the last round of interviews lol. I was barely able to speak in the last 30mins.

recruiter screening call -> hiring manager screening call -> a few more in depth interviews with different focus (technical implementation, system design). The interviewers were very incompetent to the point that I decided not to move forward

Interview
They make you go through so many interviews just to ghost you for 3 weeks after and then say some generic excuse. First off, the recruiters and HR didn't even know how many interviews it would be, and they did not describe exactly what would be done in each interview accurately. They said it would be a Hiring manager call which yes that went fine, but for the onsite they said it was going to be 1 technical coding round and the other 3 rounds would be behavioral. Well I ended up having 4 technical coding interviews and they wasted my time scheduling them on all different days throughout the course of one week. I have no issue with coding or doing system design, BUT ATLEAST TELL US WE ARE GOING TO BE DOING IT. That way I can be prepared, also the interviewers themselves didn't even understand the coding problems that they were giving me. All in the end, after I did the correct solutions and answered everything well, I get ghosted for 3 weeks and then the recruiter gave a generic excuse. Not wasting my time with a company like this again.
