Only got the phone screen which was 30 minutes with their recruiter. The remaining hiring process is listed on their website. Recruiter spent majority of the time giving me a scripted background of the company and asked me 1-2 questions about my experience. I got to ask a few of mine during the call. By the time we got to the salary point of discussion, she dismissed my salary expectations. Red flag number 1 is a company that is public but pays 50% below the market rate. I should’ve known after seeing all of the Glassdoor reviews. I was willing to consider their structure and move through the interview process. Instead, I got a response asking if I had reconsidered compensation, and when I said yes, I was ghosted. I followed up 3 days later with the recruiter because the job post had been taken down, and the next day I got an auto rejection notice. I mean, glad I didn’t waste my time through the whole process, but at some point you shouldn’t have taken the phone interview if you were near end of your search. Also, an actual reply back when I asked whether the position had been filled, is decency considering I had the recruiter’s info. This was probably the worst experience I’ve had with a talent partner. This is my first negative review ever. Recruiters, my advice is to treat your candidates with as much respect as you want to be treated. You never know when you move into another role and need to headhunt for the same role you just ghosted.
