I applied online. I interviewed at SpotX (Denver, CO) in Dec 2020
Interview
100% Remote. 1st interview was just a phone call with someone on the hiring team. Just asked the typical "where do you see yourself in 5 years" and "Why QA?" type questions. 2 phone call was with the head of QA and it got a little technical. Questions about terminal/command prompt commands, difference between black box & white box testing, explain unit/functional and integration testing, what is CI/CD, when have I used CI/CD. Be able to talk about testing for sure.
I applied online. I interviewed at SpotX (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in Dec 2020
Interview
Initial call with internal recruiter Frances, who throughout the entire process was amazing. Probably the best I've ever dealt with.
Then after I had a half hour technical interview with one of the engineers that asked me questions around my background and then questions about API's, web calls etc
The 2nd round of interviews was a panel based interview with 4 of their engineers, so I had an interview with 2 for 30 mins and the other 2 for 30 mins. I was asked to run through my CV and I was asked general questions about design patterns and stuff specific to my CV.
The final round of interviews was with the Head of Engineering and a Senior developer. These questions were around what I knew about what the company does and walking them through a project I had worked on.
Overall it was a good process, everyone was really nice and I think I could have fit in there well. Another role that interested me slightly more was offered, so on this occasion I had to decline.

Question 1
Describe what happens when you type in a Url and hit enter?
Lots of behavioral questions. Wanted to know challenges I've faced in the past, how I worked with others, and how I approached learning new things. It wasn't intimidating, the interviewer made it enjoyable and feel like a real conversation.
