The recruiter spammed my inbox for months altogether to interview with Sophia. The recruitment process is extremely disorganised. The interviewers, however, were great people. Some of the most compassionate interviewers I’ve ever met. There were 4 rounds with the Engineering lead, Senior Software Engineers and a Principal Software Engineer. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with them. Here comes the sad part though, I was told that they’d want to move forward with an offer and it was then the recruiter misquoted the salary we discussed. They said it had to be vetted through the CFO. Like really? Secondly, they changed their initial stance about the position being remote and started asking me to relocate to Boston. Long story short, I got a call from the recruiter that they don’t want to move forward now! Do not waste your time interviewing with Sophia, and more importantly, do not risk your career being at this highly disorganised and non-coherent company.
