      VP, Development Interview

      24 Dec 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Solera (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2021

      Interview

Horrible. I was contacted by Waterman group to see if interested in position. I met with this group and they were excited to push me forward in the process. I was told I had to take a cognitive and behavioral assessment before HR interview. It was suggested that I prep for the cognitive bc it was important. This was during the Thanksgiving week which I told them I was on DTO. I took some prep tests and completed the assessments and passed according to their standards. There was a sense of urgency to get me to interview with HR on Friday after thanksgiving and since it seemed important to move forward, I took the interview with HR person and it went well. I then waited a week with no response. I sent email to waterman group who told me no decision was made yet being week after holiday. I waited another week and asked again what is the status. It was then that I was told that the executive team is busy with meetings and travel so they are going to pass at this time. It was full sense of urgency during my off time but it took 2 weeks and me following up to find out that they are busy and going to pass after making me jump through several hoops and never get to interview with hiring team. If this is how they treat candidates applying for executing positions, it's no surprise on the many negative reviews I read from other former employees there. I was told the CEO was changing things but its hard to change a bad culture. Stay away from this company and move on or you will be looking again shortly after starting. I would recommend staying away from Waterman group as well.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The HR interview was very generic, no real questions asked about my personality from assessment or my work history that was relevant to job. She was just checking the box to move on to whatever she needed to do next.
