My phone buzzed with a canned decline letter at 10pm PST on a Friday night a day after for a position I more than met the qualifications for. Fortunately, my resume passed the ATS at other highly esteemed companies, and I am currently working at one as well. Reading these reviews about the impersonal process and lack of respect for people’s time, such as the time it takes to apply or interview only to bizarrely be rejected, I am relieved it ended here. It’s a hot job market, but have some tact and don’t sent automated rejection emails late at night. If you have a preferred location for a remote role, perhaps you should say so.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Ended at the highly automated application process.
Initial interviews with HR very positive. Lady said she would put me through to the next round but then heard nothing. I follows up and was told that they might be hiring an internal candidate instead. They never got back to me to confirm so I assume they did.
Overall the process went fine. Had an initial interview with a recruiter and a short second interview. I was then tasked with an assignment/ project. After I submitted the project I did not hear from them. I reached out to follow up and was told they moved forward with someone else. I did not receive any feedback regarding my interviews or project.
