I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Slack (New York, NY) in Jun 2019
Interview
This was the best interview process I have experienced. The recruiter contacted me immediately after I reached out to my referral and the process moved along at a very steady pace. After the phone screen, there were two calls with the hiring manager and an onsite at HQ. I really appreciated how well the Slack team got to know me and offered me the opportunity to get to know them during the interview process. They are testing not only for skill and experience but also for culture fit. The recruiter was very transparent about the process and incredibly helpful every step along the way. I was fully briefed for what to expect and the interviews were straight forward. I felt well prepared and very welcome while interviewing with Slack, so much so that when I received the offer it was a no brainer!
Other companies I was interviewing with lacked prompt follow through and did not feel nearly as personal.
