Was contacted by the Head of HR and had an informal hour-long interview. The interview questions were very off the cuff and unscripted, as this was a new role for the company. The interviewer asked some “out of bounds” questions about family status and children.
Overall, I felt that I was a strong candidate for the role and the interviewer led me to believe that I was a top candidate, however, the tone did change late in the interview when I shared details of having a child with special needs.
I was promised a followup within the next week, however, never heard back and received no followup responses on emails sent after the interview.
