After the initial call with the Shazam recruiter, I was asked to create a small Android coding assignment. Nothing too crazy, it had very specific 'specs' and clear points on what the team is going to score the assignment on (testing, framework knowledge, etc). It was up to me to design the looks of the app. After getting the thumbs up from the coding assignment I was invited to the London office for the on-site interview. The was a 2h long discussion about past working experiences and ways of working. I also had the chance to learn about how Shazam works internally. The day ended with a 1h long pairing session adding a new feature on the project of my coding assignment. Fun!
