I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ServiceNow in Mar 2019
Interview
I did not had any telephonic round. I was directly invited to onsite Santa Clara office. Had the worst interview experience in my entire career. I am a frontend engineer. The job position clearly mentioned some of the frontend technologies. The recruiter reached out to me and asked percentage of time I do frontend work. I mentioned 70- 80%. During onsite interview the first interviewer came 5 minutes late and left 5 minutes early than his scheduled time. Not a single frontend specific question was asked. Though I did solve algorithm questions.
The recruiter never replied about the result of the interview. I followed up later after a week but no reply. Every interviewer mentioned in each round that this is a backend position. I wonder why did you invite a candidate who says that he works 70 -80 % on frontend to interview for a backend position. Moreover, interview was from 10 am to 3:00 p.m but they did not include any time for lunch, so I had to bring something from cafeteria and eat while answering interview questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q. find element in sorted array which has been rotated n number of times, merge two sorted arrays...pretty standard algorithm questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at ServiceNow (Santa Clara, CA)
Interview
2 interviews, one with hiring manager and other one was coding interview. Online assessment no leetcode style coding, allowed to use LLM, cursor. do not know why companies still do coding interviews when LLMs are writing code for you
HR round only, recruiter went rogue. Recruiter never emailed me back even though it went quite well, seems maybe the role was filled already by the time. The least they could do was email me back why instead of going rogue
Process was a moderate, had call from recruiter then followed by technical interview with two people. Later had an interview with hiring manager . I was given coding assessment which was medium difficult
