I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank in Mar 2016
Interview
Met them at a job fair. Got a call after 3days and got a link for a prerecorded interview. 11 questions. You read the question and give an oral answer you record. Got a call 3 days after from the HR for a phone interview. 1h23mn talking on the phone. The voice was low so i had to ask several time to repeat. Got a few hours after an email with an other online assessment to do in 24 hours. A test and simulation. Was surprised.Needes a calculator. Not sure i got it done well.
Now i'm waiting for the next step witch is supposed to be an other interview.
The interview was 30min and it was first an introduction then some behavioral question on how I would proceed in some situations, and only some technical. The manager I had was very friendly and we had a good conversation going. Still waiting on a decision.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why is it that you think if there are lots of credit cards activated but the customers are not using it?
There was a coffee chat where I introduced myself, it was with many people. Then selected for an interview. The interview is more detailed and longer, and multiple people are interviewing you.
Reached out to by HR after 1 week and a team member after applying online after 1.5 weeks. Was given less than a working day of notice for the first-round online interview. During the call, the questions felt unstructured. They repeatedly pressed me on why I wanted the role, but never actually explained what the role fully entailed. Communication stopped immediately after the call—no feedback, no update.
