I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Halifax, NS) in Mar 2015
Interview
Interview process was different as I had already worked for Scotiabank as a co-op student in the past. Phone call was pretty standard. Had a second phone interview a month later. Then was invited to the office. Office interview was with a hiring manager and a team member. The team member asked a majority of the questions. Finally received offer from manager. Total time 2 months.

Interview
Pretty straightforward. Interviewers were very nice and questions were mostly behavioural. Technical questions were not overly complex, and tested thought process and ability to think on the spot more than heavy technical knowledge.
The first round was Group coffee chat. It is in a group of 10-12 people. It is virtual. It is semi-formal round just to introduce each other and expalining the further rounds and how internship works in the company.

Question 1
Introduce yourselves and why do you want to work here.
Interview was friendly and thoughtful. There were a combination of screening, behavioural, and some technical questions. Interviewers were kind and made me feel comfortable. They also answered my questions in great detail.
