I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2016
Interview
virtual skype-like software, had online tests, finally went to meet the managers with another individual. They weren't aggressive but wanted to verify my knowledge on capital markets. some questions asked me about things I hadn't looked at since graduation, but thankgoodness I still had it in me
Reached out to by HR after 1 week and a team member after applying online after 1.5 weeks. Was given less than a working day of notice for the first-round online interview. During the call, the questions felt unstructured. They repeatedly pressed me on why I wanted the role, but never actually explained what the role fully entailed. Communication stopped immediately after the call—no feedback, no update.
two rounds of interview, one hirevue and one in person and one group coffee chat, friendly process in general, very interesting to learn about the team. good experience over all, thumbs up
