To summarize, I'd say that Saasli’s multi-step interview process was challenging, yet rewarding. Everyone I interacted with at Saasli was professional, helpful, and willing to answer my questions about the company, the role, and the interview process itself. The process was transparent from the outset, and regular communication from the company made the whole experience less daunting. I came to trust the interviewers as they were sincere and refreshingly candid with their responses. Overall, the tone was conversational and the interviewers were focussed on assessing suitability for the role and overall fit within the team.
The process itself was comprised of six steps: an initial screening call, two personal phone interviews, a case study, a technical challenge, and a final presentation. Combined, these steps (in particular the technical challenge) required a fair amount of effort to complete. However, the work never felt arbitrary or excessive as the Saasli team took pains to clearly communicate the purpose of each step. For me, the benefit of a multi-step process was that it allowed me to get a holistic sense of what the job actually entailed. It felt like this approach provided an equal opportunity for me to learn about the company and the role while simultaneously providing Saasli with a picture of who I am and how I work.
