I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SLB (Stavanger) in Sept 2013
Interview
I applied through a screening interview at my university. The screening interview took about 15 minutes, and 1 week later they invited me to their assessment center in Stavanger.
The assessment center process lasted for 2 days, and the first day we had a mathematical test, mechanical test and a practical test. The math test was basic college mathematics (algebra, conversion, time/velocity/speed calculations etc) The other written test was about Mechanics and how forces affect levers, pulleys etc. (No calculations) The practical test was to assemble a valve.
Then we had lunch, before the recruiter had a company presentation about the career possibilities in Schlumberger and showed us some tools in the workshop. After that we had a group exercise (Build a rig out of paper, and try to sell it).
Day 2: We had a 5 min presentation about ourself in front of all the others and some volunteers from Schlumberger. Then we had a 30 min interview with 2-3 of the volunteers. The interview was more a conversation and not scary at all.

It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
