I applied through a screening interview at my university. The screening interview took about 15 minutes, and 1 week later they invited me to their assessment center in Stavanger. The assessment center process lasted for 2 days, and the first day we had a mathematical test, mechanical test and a practical test. The math test was basic college mathematics (algebra, conversion, time/velocity/speed calculations etc) The other written test was about Mechanics and how forces affect levers, pulleys etc. (No calculations) The practical test was to assemble a valve. Then we had lunch, before the recruiter had a company presentation about the career possibilities in Schlumberger and showed us some tools in the workshop. After that we had a group exercise (Build a rig out of paper, and try to sell it). Day 2: We had a 5 min presentation about ourself in front of all the others and some volunteers from Schlumberger. Then we had a 30 min interview with 2-3 of the volunteers. The interview was more a conversation and not scary at all.
