Applied to the position online. Received a call from HR and asked some basic questions regarding the position and scheduled a phone interview with the Hiring manager. The phone interview with the hiring manager was short lasted for about 20 mins. Asked questions regarding my experience and background and almost 4 technical questions like difference between RANK and DENSE RANK, AWT and SWING, etc. I was told that I would be called for an on-site interview. Received a call from HR after a week to schedule an onsite interview. The onsite interview consists of a skill test - Oracle, Java, PL/SQL. The Project manager went over my resume, and asked several technical questions. Then I was interviewed by the Hiring manager, the interview consisted of lots of technical questions about Oracle and Informatica. I did prepare myself for the interview, however I could not answer all the technical questions. I felt the interview was like a trivia contest. If I had passed that contest, I would have had that position, little or no consideration was given to education, background, interests or experiences related to the position.
