Apply during rehearsals for each cast usually at beginning of rehearsals filling out their form. Interview in front of a panel with directors and choreographers and then possibly skills task. Cleaning or teaching a couple of show numbers if it's required. Most times the interview will be enough for the panel to decide the outcome. Depending on the cast there might be several people looking into this position or just a couple.
