I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Medford, OR) in Jun 2013
Interview
Fairly direct, and there was nothing unexpected. My interview went smoothly and the manager I spoke with seemed genuinely interested in a good candidate. The interview itself was about 30 minutes. The most extensive part of the application/interview process was waiting for my background check to be completed. This took about two weeks.
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
