      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rippling

      Interview

I thought the beginning of the process was smooth and seemed to be moving quickly to fill the position. One of the Recruiters reached out to me directly pitching the role, so I decided to give it a shot and see what the company had to offer. First, screening with Recruiter - great process. Second, informal interview with the head of the sales department I was interviewing for. That went well, pushed me through to the next round. Third, panel interview with hiring manager, head of sales department, another manager from another team. The second part of the panel interview was a bit overwhelming and intense. Be prepared to “think outside of the box” with your answers, because if the answers are not correct they will certainly be blunt with you and not in a coaching way. (That’s a great and encouraging way to throw someone off their game during an interview by the way). The hiring manager and last interview were fine, basic questions about experience, objection handling etc. The role seemed pretty intense and seemed to be more of an “outside sales rep” position working remotely with CPAs where you’re building your pipeline from relationship building that way. It’s not a role I was dying to do anyways. I understand the interviews can be intense for a reason, but I think if you’re going to be slightly rude to your candidates during the interview process, imagine what it would be like working for him/her. Blessing in disguise.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If I threw a book of clients at you, how would you prioritize them? What would you do if a client ghosted you? If you had to show your client appreciation what would you do?
