I had one of the most unprofessional interview experiences of my career when applying for a role at Relay. After an initial standard recruiter screening call, I was scheduled to have a call with the Chief of Staff as the next stage. After arranging a time, the first cancellation happened less than hour hour before the meeting. Fine, stuff happens. Rearranged the call at short notice, and shifted several other commitments around (such as flights) to accommodate availablity. Less than an hour before the next call, same thing happens again, the CoS cancels. After arranging a third time, again shifting flights and work commitments, the CoS cancels with less than 30 mins before the call was scheduled. After this, I withdrew from the process.
My feedback to management: How you treat candidates’ time reflects how you treat employees. If you don’t have capacity to interview candidates, change the process or filter out more. The way my time was treated by your CoS was not only unprofessional, but completely disrespectful.
My advice to candidates: Avoid.
