I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at RedCloud Consulting (Bellevue, WA) in Dec 2025
Interview
Lengthy interview process with limited follow-up
I was contacted by a recruiter regarding the Payroll/AP Manager role and advanced through several interview rounds, including meetings with the hiring manager, a consulting managing partner, and the Director of Operations. All interviewers were professional, engaged, and knowledgeable, and the discussions indicated the role aligned well with my 16 years of payroll and accounts payable experience.
After completing the final in-person interview and sending thank-you emails following each round, there was a period of approximately two weeks with no communication. I followed up multiple times before receiving an update that the team decided to move in a different direction.
While I appreciate the time the interview team invested, clearer timelines and more proactive communication would have improved the overall candidate experience.
Advice to Management:
Provide structured updates during multi-round interview processes to better manage expectations and respect candidates’ time.
