I applied online. I interviewed at Randstad Enterprise (Fort Worth, TX) in Dec 2017
Interview
I was emailed by a Recruiter that she came across my resume in their database and believed that I was a good fit. She included some information about the job description and job requirement which I am familiar since I applied for that position. One of the requirements that was posted on the job board (and on the email she sent me) is "Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required." A phone interview schedule was set but on the date and time of interview, I didn't received a call from the Recruiter so I waited for 15 minutes and still no call was received. I emailed to check if interview will be rescheduled which she replied with her apologies. The phone interview was rescheduled the following day. On the day of phone interview, her first question was if I speak Spanish. I replied "no" then she immediately told me that I am not qualified for the position since speaking Spanish is required then ended the call. I was so disappointed because of how she handled the call and how their job ad says, "Bilingual in Spanish is PREFERRED but not REQUIRED." They should have indicated in their job posting that Bilingual in Spanish is REQUIRED. Now, I am no longer sure if I am still to apply on any job posting with "......Preferred but not required" requirement.
Thank you so much for your feedback. It is greatly appreciated. We regret that your experience did not live up to the standard we always aim for. We will take this input into consideration. Thanks again.
