      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RBC (Victoria, BC) in May 2013

      Interview

Applied online, attended Career fair, phone interview, final interview Total time from application to job: 1 week. Pointers: It doesn't matter what you know, they will fully re-train you. Just ensure you concentrate and emphasize on your past customer service experience. That's all they're looking for. As a CSR you are the face of RBC and they want to ensure that you kept their reputation up and provide world class customer service. They are trained to make you feel calm and relax during your interviews so that your best side shines. If there is a question you are stumped on DON'T PANIC, just say "can you please give me a moment to think about that". This shows that you're not impulsive and actually think before you act/talk. Trust me, I used that exact line and they had no problem waiting for my answer. Even ask them to clarify the question if you are unsure. Good luck!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Pretty standard questions. Mostly behavioral, Question I got stumped on: If you are the chosen candidate, what would be your top three priorities?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RBC (Burlington, ON) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Applied online, an email came shortly after to do an online assessment, very detailed but fine. Received another email for a 10 min telephone interview, very pleasant HR. Was asked a few questions like " Describe a time when you had a challenge to meet a target and how did you achieve it..." . A few days later another email inviting me to a hiring event. That was a bit intimidating, 12 people and 6 RBC management at a head table watching. Set in pairs you were asked 3 tasks, 1-why should we hire your friend, 2- sell us this random object (like a shark tank episode) 3- how to handle assigned banking scenario. Overall good practice if you are uncomfortable with public speaking.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RBC (Chilliwack, BC) in Aug 2015

      Interview

I was referred by a friend to come work for the bank, so I needed to apply online mentioning that I was referred. Some days later I got a call from recruitment and we set up a day that we could have a phone interview. The phone interview was very basic: what work have you done as a part of a team, what work are you most proud of, do you have experience in sales, etc. Etc. After that, we were able to set up a day for my in-person interview. There was a panel of 3 people interviewing me, which was intimidating at first, but they were all very sweet and I was able to calm down. After that they contacted me in about 2 days and told me I got the job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me what I thought of RBC, what have I noticed them do in the community, they asked me about how clients should be treated, what experience I have in sales, things along those lines
