      IT Project Operations Manager Interview

      12 May 2025

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Procter & Gamble (Cairo, Cairo Governorate) in Feb 2025

      Interview

After one month of completing the online assessments , I got an invitation for the first interview , Interviewing Phase Consists of 3 interviews that were all one-to-one virtual , lasted from 20-45 mins , time from first interview to the second one was about 1 week , and time between the second one and the third one was about 1.5 months , the process really takes time since completing the assessment and completing the final interview. Now as of the content of each interview they were more or less the same , following the same scheme that they have on their website , 2 behavioral questions , 2 situational questions and questions about yourself of course and introducing yourself at the beginning , and they hint you at the beginning to answer the questions in STAR method , a question that was common in all the 3 interviews was "Tell me about a time where you lead something" , which is sensible since the role is Project Manager , nothing technical was asked in the interviews , because as the interviewer said, P&G believe that they hire the person not the role, which is something great in my opinion. During the interviews if they think that your answer is not complete they will rephrase the question or dig a bit deeper to try and get the answer from you, they are really helpful, understanding and friendly. The final interview , was with the IT Head , it was great but It got 2 questions at the end that was kind of specific to the role , one question was " If you are creating an application to the marketing team that suggests the promotions to be done each week , what would be the data you need? " , that question was not quite technical but just reflects the way of thinking of the individual , Unfortunately I don't think I answered this question well enough, I think that was the reason I was rejected but anyways it was a great experience. Also I have known that it is fine to use same answers in the interviews because the 3 interviewers do not contact each other until you complete the final interview. The last part of the interviews is for the candidate to ask any questions they'd like except feedback of the interview. That's it and in case you do not pass the interview phase, you cannot apply again to P&G until after 12 months from the date of your last interview.
