      Administrative Assistant Interview

      28 Aug 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Kansas City, KS
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Power Group (Kansas City, KS) in Sept 2013

      Interview

The interview went extremely well. However, the company was extremely unorganized. They hired me and expected me to come in Monday morning to start work . I got a call Sunday night at 8:00pm saying they were going to try to hire within instead. This was very upsetting, because I had turned down other job offers for this one. A month later I got a call saying they wanted to take the chance if I was still available to take the job. They had decided after a month that the person they hired within was not right for the job. Although I took the job, I was certainly skeptical of if they would keep me or not, due to my hiring process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The most difficult question for me is always were do you want to be in the next 5 - 10 years. This is a hard question for someone in their twenties, because I feel no one really knows where they want to be or where they are going to end up . Of course I answered it. Well I see my self advancing in this company and taking on more responsibilities.
