There were 4 phone conversations and an on-site interview. Overall, I felt the team were excited about the company and honest about the challenges they are facing. The process took about 5 weeks,
The first call was the standard conversation with the recruiter. She was friendly and professional.
The second call was with the VP of Engineering. He had a another meeting after the call so it felt rushed. I talked about what I worked on at my previous positions.
The third call was with the DevOps team. It was a bit confusing since they were not sure if the manager should be on the call. They asked about deployments and problem-solving. Also asked about a project that I am proud of. I asked about their day-to-day activities and projects they are working on.
The fourth call was with the DevOps manager. We were scheduled for 30 minutes but we talked a lot longer than that. He went into detail about the product and how excited he was about it. Then I talked about myself, and I really enjoyed how he really took the time to get to know me.
The final on-site was with the DevOps manager, Director of Quality and VP of Engineering. There was a coding whiteboard session and lots of questions to see how I would fit in with the team culture. They answered any concerns and questions I had.
