I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pier 1 Imports (Chicago, IL)
Interview
If you are advanced from an associate to a sales lead, expect a conversation with your store manager and regional. Likely your store manager is in a pinch and needs you and/or has recommended you. The interview should go well.

Question 1
In what ways will you contribute to this company's sales target? How will you 'get behind' selling the credit card? Show me how you will take advantage of a coaching opportunity with one of your associates (usually a role play).
Interview process included phone and in person interview. Questions ranged from background history basic work and skills questions and more advanced situational questions. Examples of questions included positive and difficult customer experiences and sales based questions and how I walked through a sales situation in the past

Question 1
Example of a time I provided excellent customer experience
The whole process was easy going and fast. The staff was professional and polite. It is very sad this company no longer exists in brick and mortar stores but only online.
I applied online. I interviewed at Pier 1 Imports (Newark, NJ) in Mar 2019
Interview
The interview was easy and straightforward. They don't take up too much time with unnecessarily long interviews. I had one interview with the store manager. She asked the basic questions you'd expect for retail. They are focused on customer service.
