I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Philips in Jan 2015
Interview
Initial application and cover letter in response to an advert in a trade journal. Initial follow up from HR was good. Friendly and welcoming e-mail communication inviting me to a screening interview. The screening interview was telephone based. Initially the agreed call time was late. The interviewer gave a description of what the call would cover, however none of this was followed. Basic screening questions were asked that were quite clearly answered on the submitted cv and cover letter demonstrating that the interviewer hadn't taken the time to review prior to calling.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Philips (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview process was roughly five to six phone interviews, and zero interviews were conducted in person. The first interview was a casual conversation with a recruiter, the second interview was behavioral, and the rest of the interviews were conversations with different members of the consulting arm that were used to gauge my "fit" within the organization.
