Parity (Canada) interview questions

They used a 3rd party recruiter that later included interviews and communications with corporate officers. Somewhat slow moving - literally months - but the pandemic played an obvious role. As the conversations continued, it became very clear that the constant reinforcement of energy savings and planetary responsibility was more about a company branding tool than an actual management philosophy. Make no bones about it, this company and its PE partners are managing strictly via a bottom line mentality. The environment, social duty, etc are simply promotional means to that end. And that is fine. But for an industry that already has a suspect reputation for over-promising and under-delivering, a private equity business mindset was certainly concerning. The final red flag was the constant request for detailed personal strategies and plans. This is usually a questionable sign but even more so when a quick LinkedIn search shows that the executive team has minimal or literally no management experience prior to joining Parity. These factors meant this opportunity wasn't the right fit for me. Maybe its a better option for someone else.

I really enjoyed the interview process and getting to know the leadership team at Parity. The process worked well for me since they worked around my schedule and were very open about where they were in the process.
