I had a recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn for a Program Manager role at their corporate office.
The initial phone screen felt rushed and lasted maybe 10 minutes. She quickly told me she was going to set up an interview with the hiring manager.
The interview with the hiring manager was scheduled and they didn't end up showing up to it due to scheduling issues on their end. It actually ended up getting rescheduled multiple times. Hiring Manager was nice, but I didn't hear back for a couple of weeks after that.
I got a text message from the recruiter out of the blue asking if I was still interested as they hadn't heard back from the emails she had sent. (I didn't get any.) I let her know I was still interested and that I made it to a panel interview and had to prepare a business case. The recruiter was supposed to send the documents needed to prepare the business case but sent me her internal screening recruiting protocol document instead of the business case documents. She was very scattered and unprofessional through the whole process.
The panel interview was an hour long and was with the hiring manager, a representative from HR and a marketing person. They were all very nice and I sent every one a thank you email after the interview. They all let me know I would hear back the following week.
I never heard back from anyone. I texted the recruiter to ask if she had any information on the position and she flat out never responded.
One of their core values is "People First." After this interaction, it was clear they don't live their values and have no consideration that the people that interview for jobs are also their customers. Needless to say my family and my friends will not be getting our pizza from Papa John's.
