Before the interview, you are given the task to create a minimal viable product and then during the interview, you are asked to add features to your application. They are flexible over what you use to build it (for ex: it can be a command-line application, a web app, a desktop ap, etc).

Question 1
They asked to add search functionality. For example, searching a dish by specific ingredient or ingredients or by the time it takes to cook. They also ask the standard behavioral questions, but most of the time is spent building on the MVP.
I applied online. I interviewed at PagerDuty in Nov 2020
Interview
The first interview was a technical interview where I was tasked with creating a starter app and had to add features. The second interview was behavioral, and they just asked typical interview questions to know be better.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PagerDuty (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2019
Interview
I was given around a week to build a small food/recipe app, this was in the same email that followed an interview confirmation with them. During the interview which was about an hour long, I demoed what I build and they further gave instructions of new features they wanted me to add on the spot. It was pretty straightforward. There were 2 interviewers in the room, I had time for a little intro at the beginning and maybe 5 minutes for questions at the end.
